Re: PA Counties locked down
I was at the grocery store and almost ALL customers were maskless. It was great to see.
Chain store, not the local one, so it was surprising. The little family-owned store I go to also has attracted the smart customers all along.
Same with hardware stores: Lowe's is full of sheep and Ace is like a step back into a normal world.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

I am coming late to this conversation. I am returning to Allegheny in two months. What are the rules there for COVID? What can I expect (not opinions but actually expect for what is open and what is not, etc.)

Re: PA Counties locked down
You really have to be paying attention because "the rules" change often.
Most all stores are open but require a mask be worn.
Restaurants get dicked over the worst with ever changing rules. Currently you can dine after wearing a mask to your table. They have capacity restrictions too.
Many fast food places (most around here) are drive thru only.
Lots of tents because the gov had restaurants down to outdoor only for a while.
Not sure about fitness centers and hair salons - I neither have hair, nor am I planning to work out, so i don't keep up - their rules change at the whim of the governor as well.
Seems like as long as a business puts on a good act, they can operate.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

It seems like Bucks county you can go just about anywhere as long as you wear a mask. There’s a few places here and there that don’t give a crap about masks. Numerous restaurants stayed open during the last shut down

[QUOTE=ImminentDanger;4355288]More of the truth is finally being disseminated:
Moderna CEO says the world will have to live with Covid *forever*
by Berkeley Lovelace Jr. - Jan 13, 2021
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/13/mode...s-forever.html
The CEO of Covid-19 vaccine maker Moderna warned Wednesday that the coronavirus that has brought world economies to a standstill and overwhelmed hospitals will be around *forever.*
Public health officials and infectious disease experts have said there is a high likelihood that Covid-19 will become an endemic disease, meaning it will become present in communities at all times, though likely at lower levels than it is now.
Then what's the point of getting Moderna's vaccine?

Re: PA Counties locked down
Mask shamed again in Bucks:
Wawa, county line Rd./202
Walmart on 309
Giant 202/ county line.
Minor mask bullying only which I easily fended off by saying no thank you.
Giant was the toughest. I growled at the guy like my son's pit bull does when you approach his steak bone. That took care of it.Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter

For Previous Stats, see Post#590 - For Stats up thru 1/9/2021, see below.
Out of all deaths in 2020, for ages 65 & Older (2,412,772), those related to the Coronavirus (266,647) were only 11%...
Out of all the population of 65 & Older (54,058,263) those Coronavirus deaths are .5% for the most vulnerable...!
If we assume 10x that many were hospitalized, that still means only 5% were severely sick enough to be hospitalized.
That means that 95% of THE MOST VULNERABLE were not hospitalized nor died of the Coronavirus.
================================================== ==================================
Notice that less than .03% of the population in the working age range of 15-64 years old died involving the Coronavirus.
Yet massive sections of the economy were (and are) shutdown in a PANIC RESPONSE.
Code:Summary Of Deaths of All People in the Working Ages: Total Population Deaths with Deaths per All Deaths Of This Age Range Coronavirus Age Popula. All Causes Age 15-64 213,600,000 62,836 .0002942 807,788
That means that 99.7% of that age population was not hospitalized nor died of the Coronavirus.
Also notice that 744,952 deaths occured during 2020 in that age range WITHOUT the Coronavirus!
Also notice that the total deaths, often touted, of 500K+ includes Pneumonia, Influenza & Coronavirus COMBINED!
It is very likely that these reported deaths were not all Coronavirus-caused, but only that the patient also had Coronavirus.
Remember, the CDC said that there was an average of 2.6 comorbidities associated with 94% of the previous deaths.
