you'll see that counties are supposed to open up when they drop below the benchmark of 50:100K new cases/day:100K residents. Yet somehow Wayne county never exceeded that 50, but we're still in "red", in spite of Levine and Wolf stating that they are only doing what the numners tell.them to do. I guess they don't want cows and hay bales to get sick.

But, if you look at the numners in urban areas, I doubt thst they will drop nelow 50:100K before September. Then what? They go back on back on being back on quarantine?

It never could keep up, right from the start. Nothing has changed in the past few weeks. It was never tenable, yet many smart people on this board were all for the lockdown and masks and social distancing, up until the point when it began to affect them. We were sent home from work first week of April, for two weeks they said. I knew at the time it wouldn't be two weeks, or even four, because the factors leading to the decision would not be different, so the bad decision had to stay in effect.

A few days late. It appears you are correct. The numbers are way lower than what was predicted. It is a good thing and maybe can be attributed to mitigation efforts. Either way, I hope it stays this way and doesn't re surge.
