Maybe treat every gun as if it were loaded.

You didn't answer any of my questions.
You only threw out ONE hypothetical scenario that pretty much NOBODY is going to do in order to support one of your weird statements.

    Democrat then?

Wait a minute. The OP asks the question for the thread title and later criticises those who actually have a nightstand gun?
Why not make the title "who carelessly keeps a gun near thier bed?"

What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms!

So, a guy starts a discussion about what gun people keep at the ready, then returns later to say that it's irresponsible to keep a gun at the ready. Wtf is going on here?

I don't know if the OP literally means IN THE NIGHTSTAND but this is what I use for my 92FS. I sleep on my stomach anyway so I don't even need to move my body to grab it. I made it with a piece of wood, a piece of leather, and the kydex shell from an Alien IWB holster for a 92FS. Since trying to conceal that gun IWB for someone my size is out of the question, this was the only logical use for it.

Democrat, fudd, does it matter? People who "swear the gun was unloaded" don't understand how to properly handle guns. People who worry "something will happen" don't understand how to properly handle guns. I'll tell you exactly what will happen; if you pull the trigger and there's a round in the chamber it will fire but if you don't pull the trigger, it won't. Very simple. If someone lacks the skills, knowledge, or situational awareness to not muzzle people, shoot something they didn't want to shoot, or fire when they didn't mean to fire, and is either unwilling or unable to get the training to improve their deficiencies, why are they even participating in this discussion?

I’m not about to divulge any home security secrets, but I will say that grandpa frankski liked to keep a cauldron of boiling oil on the parapets to dump on any unwanted visitors.

Now that I can’t go anywhere And I have a little time I think it’s time to start digging a moat. Anyone know where I can get about 20 alligators at least 8 feet long cheap?
