Our cat would have a field day with one of those.

Puppymonster covers the audible part of the early warning system. He'll give a deep "Boof" if any abnormal sounds are detected within 30 yards of the house. Any additional noises within 5 minutes, will trigger the bark/growl alert. Unfortunately, it is susceptible to false alarms.

Usual nightstand gun is a XD subcompact with full size mag but it rotates. Mostly with other double stack 9 mms. AR and Model 37 riot gun are close by.

Assuming I make it out of the bed the shotgun is loaded to make sure I have time to toss a mag in the AR & grab the .357 magnum in that safe.
