Re: What's that ONE gun you'll b keeping in the nightstand tonight?
Keeping a firearm OUT on the nightstand is risky for some, due to deep sleep habits, sleepwalking and such. Ever woken up suddenly and wondered where the fuck you are?
Most individuals who are unexpectedly awoken out of REM sleep are basically in a psychological drunken stupor, (i.e., in no condition to reason, let alone manipulate a firearm).

How does anyone fit a loaded rifle inside a nightstand?
Mine is just sitting on the floor and leaning.
Anyone targeting my house is likely armed and wearing body armor. Not cops, the local cops know me, I know them. Gangbangers. If criminals expect to invade my house and find guns, I hope to not disappoint them.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

True, but I have to believe that they would coordinate with the local PD, who have my fingerprints on file from multiple ATF forms, have called me to ask me to check surveillance footage of the alley behind my house, who have arrested and successfully prosecuted multiple perps based on my calls.
I think the phrase "he's probably not the drug dealer that your warrant based on an anonymous tip claims" would come up in that conversation.
Honestly, if the local cops call and say "we're out front, could you step outside?", I would.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: What's that ONE gun you'll b keeping in the nightstand tonight?
I've seen at least one video where the homeowner steps outside and then was accused of using threatening body language or otherwise becoming angry or agitated at the cops questioning him as a pretext to portray the homeowner in a bad light in their report. I would say if you have a friendly relationship with these local cops then fine, but generally speaking if someone has limited or no interaction with police in their lives, it's probably better for them to stay behind their door in the relative safety of their home sanctuary and refuse to talk to them if the cops do not have a warrant. This is the age we live in unfortunately. Just my .02 cents.
