Alright I bought the cable, plus a man size 102" whip for my CB.
Thanks for all the info everybody. I'll be back with more rookie bs.

In the rookie pile myself. This looks like it has at least some potential.

Re: Baofeng UV5army
Are you offering to cut down this guy's barrel for him? making an illegal SBR? Baoefeg is NOT Type classed for FRS, GMRS or MURS, License is required for the HAM Frequencies, if he's not a Licensed HAM Operator, you have opened HIM and YOU up for Fines, and Jail Time. Would you show someone how to Violate firearms laws, why are you doing it with commo laws?? There ARE ways to do this legally (Like limiting the ability to transmit) so please show him how that is done

Re: Baofeng UV5army
I understand and I'll give the guidance the best I can. Not to be a wise guy but who's doing what enforcement on this? Now I understand that if one is ignorant or trespasses on someone's repeater they could get nabbed but if a guy has a couple of Baofengs and uses them on GMRS freqs with his family, who's to know? How's he going to get nabbed?

Re: Baofeng UV5army
Good and valid question, while enforcement is minimal, there are people out there who LOVE to go "Fox hunting" and tracking people using these unlawfully. In fact Flagger Force has had an FCC complaint filed against them for using these radios and frequencies, since they are a bigger company and offender, I expect bigger fines.
I know you well enough that you would tell someone looking to carry with out a license you'd tell them there are ways, but do it the right way, this is in no way different, other than it's a radio and not a firearm.
