    Arrow Coronavirus Reloading Thread

With all the ample time currently available and the uncertainty of possible future events, I thought it wise to add to the "Ready? Set? GO!" 5.56 x 45 inventory. So today I reloaded 500 rnds on a Dillon 550B - it took about 3 hours (yeah, I know I'm slower than molasses at times).

    Here's the load data:

    Powder: 23.6 gns Ramshot TAC
Primer : Rem No. 71/2 Small Rifle Bench Rest Primers
Bullet : Sierra 77 gr HPBT w/ Cannelure
    Brass : Remington
    OAL : 2.254"
    Crimp : .248"

    Here's the cartridge data:

Avg Velocity: 2627 fps (14.7" barrel)
    Std. Dev. : 26.7

These were reloaded specifically for my LWRC M6IC-SPR 5.56mm rifle which can handle the higher pressure of these rounds and they are not suitable for a generic .223 rifle. Be sure to consult several reloading manuals for the correct load for YOUR rifle.

By the way, this missus' routinely takes these rounds out for a 700 yd. "walk" with her LMT.

If you've been working at your reloading press during this self-quarrantine, feel free to post your story.

I'm working on 300 Blackout right now. 125g Hornady SST with 17.0g IMR 4227.

Going to run out of prepped brass, so next up will be brass prep.

At the same time, I have 9mm set up on the progressive, so will be continuing that.

One project I need to get to is some prepped 7.5 swiss GP 11 brass and 45 ACP brass. Then I've got some 32 ACP and 7.62 NATO to do.

I don't have time to not reload.

I can do some brass prep. My brother picked up the powder scale and dispenser to do some at his house. Can also do some casting.

I'll be reloading a crap ton of 9mm subs and 45 acp for the MGs. Finish loading the few hundred processed and primer 5.56 cases for the rifles.

If I can do it, you can too.

Tons of videos on Youtube, start watching those. Get a reloading manual, read it. Most of the manuals have how to articles, but you will probably learn more from Youtube. Lee has probably the best directions for their dies, so start simple with something like 9mm or 45 ACP. If you don't understand something after that, ask, plenty of people will help.

Unfortunately, supplies are now as scarce as ammo, or as crazily priced.
