The epi pens were offered for free, for anyone with kids who might need them, I apologize that this wasn’t clear. They’re now gone.

The one year expiration is a default date on the RX label from the date dispensed. The stock manufacturer bottles can have expiration dates 2 years and beyond, however the stability of the drug outside of those bottles may diminish sooner. According to the FDA, manufacturers determine the expiration date once a drug reaches the threshold of 90% potency.
