Re: Get back home bag
Last year my wife got 5- 3 day assault packs from Marshalls for $5, on clearance. Some were OD green, one was coyote and 2 were black.I had already bought 2 for hunting at $15 , they really are well made, I cant see the make but I was shocked at the price quality ratio on these, molle webing like the condor pack above .
We gave some out as christmas gifts and kept some others just in caseDerrion Albert was my Hero.

Re: Get back home bag
The new models are on the shelves now. Price was $25 - now $20.
Slightly different. Not sure if they cut corners to provide a lower price, but when I tried them on, they fit me just a little better than the first pair, so if I feel the need to get another pair of this type of glove, I know where to get them at a reasonable price.

Finally picked up the 18oz stainless steel folding handle cup from Walmart to go with my Stanley Adventure Cook Set
Now I have this setup - just like ten thousand YouTubers do! LOL

Also bought the Ozark Trail 4-in-1 stove to see how it compares to the BRS 3000T micro stove.
With my discount, it was $11.67 and what prompted my to try it was the fact that it comes with an adapter for use on propane bottles.
Not sure if it can be used with the BRT 300T or not. Gotta check into that.

Re: Get back home bag
With all this escalation happening in the middle east, and my office being 85 miles away from home, I've taken to keeping a road bike on the back of my car at all times with a "get home backpack" with enough essentials to support the ride home (up to 150 miles, since my office is 85 miles away by the shortest route)
- Lots of extra tire tubes
- CO2 inflator and hand pump
- Patch kits and glue
- 3L water bladder
- Ham Radio HT with extra battery
- Bike headlight, flashlight
- Small First aid kit
- Iodine / Citric Acid tablets
- Potassium Iodide tablets
- Electrolyte tablets
- Paper maps of the area
- Small power bank with charging cables
- Utility Knife
- 50 foot hank of paracord
- 10x10 plastic sheet, ziplock bags, zip ties
- 2000 dense calories
The bag weighs very little until I put 3kg of water in it, but it is typical for a 100 mile self-supported bike ride. I'm just hoping it's enough for when this shit gets out of hand, which I think is a matter of when not if.
