Back in the day, you'd probably get shot for having something like this in the Soviet Union.

And yet at this time, the former soviets have more freedom on the airwaves than we do in the land of the free.

Digital PMR446 dPMR (FDMA) uses 32 digital voice channels separated by 6.25 kHz from each other with 4-level FSK modulation at 3.6 kbit/s.[14] Before January 2018, only the upper 16 channels were allowed for digital FDMA operation.

I'm in the process of building a 2m j-pole antenna out of 1/2" copper pipe. The connectors have arrived at the po box. Hope to have it together on Saturday. Trying to tune it for 146.420 so I can attempt to listen to the ammron net in Exton.

Here's a drawing with a calculator for specific frequencies.

Ya got an extra 'j' on the end there that needs to be removed.

Great point, many Hams forget they are licensed to experiment. I prefer home made antenna to store bought, and also want to speak out for more info on AmRRON https://amrron.com/

Really thinking about adding one of these to my kit.

    They can be found here.

Might just make one myself though.
