Re: Letter from Sheriff Ott
One potential silver lining of all of the gunshops closing down is that pics shouldn't be overloaded. Last I heard Bucks is still open but it was taking hours to get the check thru last week. This limited the number of permits they could issue and who wants a bunch of people sitting around for hours crowding your office.
Hopefully the check will now be completed in minutes like they used to be and there is one less excuse for a sheriff not issuing them.

Well Clinton County Sheriff's office will be closed next week.

Re: Letter from Sheriff Ott
One side of me applauds that this sheriff is trying to make things work. The other side twitches at seeing a PA county duplicate the "set up an appointment to submit your application" paradigm that is so commonly seen here in PRNY.
Why, you ask? Because last time I checked, Onondaga County was setting up appointments for 18 months in the future. That's what "absolute best to schedule you as soon as possible" eventually devolves to.
I'm not saying Sheriff Ott is trying to move in that direction. But that is certainly how counties in PRNY started...
