HB 2344 Ammo background checks

This bill is another form of control, adding fees to ammunition.

The sponsor of this bill is a Rino PA State Rep. Thomas Murt

PA H.B. 2344 (2019-2020) will require background checks for ammunition purchases. Which in turn, and is directly addressed in the text, prohibits online ammunition purchases.

As well as prohibits sharing/selling ammunition with your friends.

Also, any occasion where it's deemed that your firearms are to be confiscated, your ammunition will also be confiscated. Adds $3 surcharge to ammunition purchases, which is to be deposited into the Firearm Instant Records Check Fund.

But WAIT, There's More... For $50 ( or less) you can apply to the PSP for an Ammunition Purchase Authorization Permit.

After which they have 30 days to make a determination. Looks to be good for 4 years or until revoked.

Money collected from this will go to the Ammunition Safety and Enforcement Fund. And last, but certainly not least, you may not transport ammunition into this Commonwealth if you purchased or obtained the ammunition outside of this Commonwealth unless you properly transfer it to yourself through a licensed dealer.

It looks like Joe Cerisi out of Royersford has his name on it too. I know we have folks here who are in his territory and they should call him and tell him about it.

I hit Cerisi up on his fakebook page and got a response that these laws already exist and that there are no changes. Any of yinz who have him as a rep, he needs to be reached out to. I know he's a Dem but it seems like he is more reachable than some of the others.

What is an ammunition safety and enforcement for? To make more tax money off of us. This government is too big and too overreaching! This is going to keep criminals from getting ammo or bringing it into PA? Unless they check every car that crosses our boarder at every entry point, how would they know what you bring into PA? This is all so ridiculous. This is because they know they can’t just disarm us all. They need to chomp at the second amendment till we can’t afford it anymore. They can say sure you have the right to bare arms! We didn’t take that right from you! But they’ll make it impossible to exercise that right! Now I’m just gettin pissed off.
