Where I hunted , I'd dress right where the deer dropped. I'd cover the pile with leaves though. I knew guys that would keep/take the heart and liver. Not me.

I hear you. I tried skinning, de-vaining and soaking the liver in salt water. Still smelled like piss when frying it.
