Re: HOA Restrictions
A question. Who owns the roads? Are they still township/city roads? If so the hoa policy is illegal.
I would also say that they violates the 13th & 14th amendments as being unarmed is a badge of slavery.
You may want to know that they are limited in restricting the display of many flags

Due to the states shitty website, I can not do any reading but you should be able to find something here

I strongly suspect that their policy is illegal because it contradicts state law, and I suspect there is a provision in the hoa act that prevents that.Last edited by PAMedic=F|A=; March 14th, 2020 at 12:30 AM.

Re: HOA Restrictions
Concealed means concealed, nothing more need be said. Unless you live in a nudist resort there's nothing anyone has to say or do about it. Do see to it to kick any anti gun people out of the board and any other form of representative body of any kind, just for good measure.

Re: HOA Restrictions
I don't really buy the "Their property, their rules" line. Not all private property is created equal. Your own private home on your own land, and a shopping mall are both "private property" but they do not have the same rights. I can freely choose to not allow certain races or religions or just people I don't like the look of to enter my home. And it's tough titties for them.
If a shopping mall tried to do that. Ooofff.
Your "private property" is no longer truly private when you allow the public access to it.
So what are the actual laws regarding what a HOA can and can't regulate when it comes to constitutional rights in PA? I'm pretty certain your landlord can't legally prohibit you from owning firearms in the apartment you're renting from him. I imagine it would be similar with a HOA. They can restrict you from shooting in the community. But simple keeping and bearing arms? I'm skeptical.AK-47s for EVERYONE!!!

Re: HOA Restrictions
When you buy in an HOA community you sign a legal binding contract. The state of Pa regulated the rules of HOA's. In some cases up here there are also deed restrictions. They are harder to enforce than HOA rules because if you violate a deed restriction some individual would have to take you to civil court.
If in fact you didn't read the contract or have a lawyer....well that's on you.

Re: HOA Restrictions
Are the roads public access? I'm local.
If so, I will volunteer to ride my loud motorcycle around while open carrying just to give the HOAholes the vapors. I'm anti-HOA and Ungawa will smile down on me for it.
