Yes it is a flower show - with thousands of unarmed and unsuspecting folks crowded into a tight venue with limited exits and numerous choke points - perfect target in what is likely thought to be a gun free zone - not sure I understand the point above ?

I think the point is historically, there isn't a whole lot of crime at a flower show. Had this been a rap concert or the DNC Convention, then security would have been tighter due to the history of criminal behavior at those venues.

Agreed but given the inherent nature of such a soft target I would expect a greater police presence - literally saw one police officer

Less police presence is a good thing, lower chance of someone's service dog getting shot.
