Canning is on the list of things to learn to do. I just haven't taking the steps yet

I just bought this today, it's a Kelly Kettle, the medium size stainless steel. Easy enough to read up on plus plenty of f-YouTube vids.

Nice...I want one now but that's pricey.

Swiss Volcano Stove is a cheap and good option.

OOS but they’re around. Think I paid $12.

I think I could actually build my own setup that works like the Kelly Kettle. Won't have a fancy jug like that but it will work the same.

I was thinking earlier of experimenting with coffee brewing and my camp stove in the back yard, I might play around with the setup.

Going on a week-long Sunday through Sunday camping trip next month.

    Think this is worth $15?
25 year shelf life per packaging info.
Not much "food" in it, but I may pick up at least one.

    Negative, Ghostrider.

There's probably 25 of them on the clearance shelf.
I'll grab one or two when I punch out.

I would buy a lot of that at $15, yes. That's less than $0.50/serving which is great for those kinda things.

If you don't have any others, I'd recommend having at least that much food for each member of your household. FEMA basically says you're on your own for 3 days (72hrs like this kit) in an emergency.
