Honeywell and mountain house are go to go, #10 cans. I think Nitropak had a good deal years ago. Wouldnt think it would be a good deal, where every ones looking. Supply/demand shit.

The natural prep progression is a garden and canning. Canning is easy peasy if you stick to time tested recipes. Canning meat is easy......easy. Books and such tend to say otherwise, but pressure canning meat is ridiculously easy.

For you garage sale/thrift shop people look for the old Ball Blue Book of canning. It's a paper back, and it's actually blue, not like the new version that's more of a green.

Craigslist has been great at getting a large supply of jars and rings. Lids are obviously easy enough to pick up in Walmart, and many grocery stores in central PA. Probably not so much in the armpits of PA.

I've seen lots of canning supplies for cheap on CL.

Kind of makes sense that Hawaii is panic buying. If supplies run low anywhere I would imagine it would be there first.

At least people are paying attention. A bit surprising.
