Bolt handle threading
Looking for someone to thread my Win Mod 70 bolt handle. Any where near by. Or buy a bolt on knob, that I cant find for the Mod 70.
I will fear no man or beast, because my 45 is on my side, at least!

Re: Bolt handle threading
Buy a tap and die or just solder it on. Heck Remington used to silver solder the whole handle on the bolt.

Re: Bolt handle threading
This is incredibly easy to do yourself! Grind down about 3/4 of the end in circular motion, until its approx 5/16 diameter. (Just shy makes it easier). You can pick up a 5/16-24 die for $5-$10 from Amazon. Clamp the handle upright in a vice(or whatever you got), and thread the portion you ground down using some type of lubricant. Tap Magic works well, but oil..even WD-40 will work.

Re: Bolt handle threading
Maybe buy a cheap used Mod70 bolt handle and do a test run on it before trying this out on your stock one?
