    Default Opinions on Taurus TX22?

I want one of these and I've having a hard time coming up with a reason not to get it because all of the reviews from youtube channels I trust seem to say that it's excellent. I'd like to have a 22 that actually works and this one especially feels outstanding in the hand. I held one today at a shop up the road from my house and very nearly said I'd take it. Who has one and what has your experience been with it? My experience with 22 firearms in general has been EXTREMELY negative so I'm very reluctant to buy one even when I love the way it feels and MAC, 22plinkster, Honest Outlaw, Justin Opinion, etc all say it's great.

I spoke to two friends on YouTube who have tested both the TX22 and the G44. Both would take the Taurus over the Glock. Personally for the money, I'd get the Taurus too. Only purpose I see for the Glock is as a training aide if you already own another Glock IMHO.

Well, I don't own or want a glock. Considering all the issues people are reporting with it combined how overpriced it (and every glock) is, I don't understand why anyone would buy one of those.

Bought used one last year. I like it a lot. Runs great. Has eaten everything I've fed it so far. Plenty accurate.

Got mine last week but haven't shot it yet. Many reviews rave over it but there were barrel problems in early releases. Named handgun of the year by one of the magazines. Is very light in the hand and grip and point of aim are spot on. Dry fire is ok they say as it is striker fired rimfire. Firing pin does not strike anything when empty. Trigger feels good and is claimed to be at 5lb.16 round mag for a 22 pistol is more than anybody else's. Comes with two mags and got an extra for $17. Have a bunch of CCI mini mag coming so will get back later on how it shoots.

I’m hoping and waiting for them to run another $50.00 off rebate on them.

It’s an excellent pistol for what you pay. That being said all 22lr semi auto pistols have the potential to be Ammo sensitive. Find a brand it likes and stick up it.

If you want ultimate reliability then run CCI mini mags. They run Weill in every rim fire weapon I’ve ever owned when others wouldn’t.

Browning Buckmark. Ya its not as compact but it works.

Good quality ammo is my belief to make any 22 run good though. Fuck that cheap ass Rem thunderbolt bucket of bullets shit ammo.

we have one. it handles nice ,shoots well, and is quit accurate. the kids love shooting it, my daughter uses it for tactical shoots. it runs any kind of ammo we throw at it. they are a little fussy on the first 200 to 300 rounds, after the break in it has run flawlessly. Buy it you will not regret it.
