I use a similar method. My way is to tape and then a base color. Then more tape, paint and so on. Then in the end I peel off all the tape.

I'm researching ideas for painting my rifles once warm weather returns and I happened upon this one.

Thought some guys with young kids may be able to make use of it.

She might think hydro dipping with spray paint is cool though. My kids are always watching people hydro dip stuff on Youtube. Thought about doing my AR pistol.
