Default Under Barrel Picatiny Rail for Ruger MkIII

I am trying to find a picatiny rail that I can mount on the underside of my barrel of my Ruger MkIII pistol so that I can mount a laser light while still being able to use my iron sights. It has a 5.5" bull barrel (0.875" OD). I thought that I would find a million of these out there but have had no luck.

Are your drilled and tapped for a rail?

I'm pretty sure theres a 'tactical' version of this pistol which includes an under barrel rail for light/laser. I'm not sure how you expect to mount something if your pistol isn't drilled and tapped for such a mount.

I just bought a mkiv tactical and it has the under barrel rail. It personally does me no good, but was curious if he was drilled and tapped if it had the same screw spacing.

Yes, but do not want to mount a laser on top as I wan to be able to use the iron sights.

Drilling & tapping is not that hard.

Thanks - I checked that out. Not what I expected but would work. It is a short picatiny integrated w/ a 0.875" dia. scope ring. $60 w/ shipping.

May have to make my own - start w/ a thick picatinny rail and mill out a 0.4375" radius on the underside to fit the barrel profile.
