I stopped in today. Looked like Mother Hubbard’s cupboard. Maybe a dozen or so handguns, a fair amount of long guns. The spinner displays were empty. I didn’t recognize any of the staff except Mr Anthony. It ain’t looking good. Seems like they’re circling the drain.
The FFL troubles aside, I think the give a shit attitude of the former staff is catching up with them.

I missed the part where them going under was a bad thing? I've heard nothing but awful things about this place, seems like they're about to get what they've been asking for.

Yep you were. I’ve stood at their counter wanting to make a purchase and been ignored more than once. One time while I’m waiting to be waited on. Standing at the counter, not wandering around a customer walks in the door And is immediately asked if he needs help. Hold on, I said, I’ve been standing here waiting and you jump on this guy immediately? The clerk said they try to wait on customers in order. That doesn’t explain why I was ignored.
I had a Ruger on layaway there and was contacted by AA saying I either had to pick up the gun or get a refund.i heard their FFL was temporarily suspended years ago. I chose the latter. I went to the shop, a clerk went in the back and got a check for me a flipped it on the counter and walked away looking disgusted. F him!
If the manager or owner would “explain” the customer pays their wages and quit tolerating this BS maybe they’d improve. They could be a great shop but the helps attitudes need adjusting.
Contrast AA to Guns Priced Right. I’ve bought many guns at both shops. GPR addresses me by name and makes me feel welcome.

Yeah, I have to concur with all the accounts of the shitty, indifferent attitudes of the employees. I havent set foot inside the place in at least 10 years because of it and judging by the other posts in this thread it doesnt sound like much has changed. I certainly wouldnt lose any sleep if they went under.

So really in the Pittsburgh area we're essentially down to the one public range then?

Join a local club! You can bring your own ammo instead of buying theirs, a big plus if you reload. I don*t know of any range that doesn*t welcome/need more members.
