Well frankly, what I have seen a great deal of here over the years is bitching about FOAC, Metcalfe, GOA, Open Carry PA and probably another couple that I’m forgetting. And, I don't think this past behavior helps our cause.

Isn’t time to just take the lead?

Perhaps that is exactly the plan, and I’m just unaware of it.

No one is beyond criticism. The thought that they are is part of the problem in PA.

What a crappy attitude; "You do not like what we are doing; then do it yourselves." or "It's my way or not at all.".

Instead of having the same mindset of all the politicians/tyrants in this country.
How about LISTENING to constituents and adjusting accordingly ?

Your personal hatred for me is coloring your view of things.

I have no desire to engage with you. Your repeated attacks border on trolling.

Yet you have offered no plan whatsoever.

He might be badgering you but my view of your activity here today looks more like trolling than anyone else's.

So here*s my question: Are we going to hold our own 2A rally this year or next, or are we going to sit around and continue to bitch at Stolfer for decisions we don*t like, and Metcalfe for flyers we don*t like?
honestly we should be suggesting the next date to metcalfe at this point. but if he does proceed to set his own and organize his annual rally, it must be understood he is only helping the cause. it is not "his rally" anymore. it is the people's. it will be held with or without him and it will be held regardless of any other bullshit going on. giant meteor? fuck, why NOT rally?
to put it in better words, we are alleviating his burden having to plan it every year and assisting him by taking on much for ourselves.
what would we do if we got the all coveted term limits? or he retires or worse? does it just end there? no.
is he cast aside? no. will it be held without him? yes.

the benefit to all this is we now have a year to make our own flyers. the date and speakers can be filled in as we work along with none other than metcalfe and others.
although we should be asking "what can i do?" figuring it out and contributing... as well as "what needs done?"

also, to note. having thought about it. the sensors for the decks are likely magnetic, in my experience they have been, not weight based. motorcycles use the decks and are substantially lighter than a car. basically if you slide your rifle around on the ground it might be enough to trigger it, i know a steel snow shovel will.
don't ruin your rifle... but seriously they're probably magnetic.

    Yes, that was me.

I did the same thing you did, just went where Mr. Google's map sent me, even to the point of backing up to go in the last "door" on River Street. Having parked in other garages before, I knew that I would have to have a ticket to buy my way out. I stopped at the gates you passed at 1:05 on the video and walked out to try to manually get a ticket but as you discovered that wouldn't work without a car. Then I noticed that there were two exit gates there as well as two entrance gates. One exit had yellow tape blocking it but the other didn't, and the gate had been up the whole time so I drove out the open gate and did a U-turn right back in the entrance gate and got the ticket.

I'd never ask anyone to post their real names on PAFOA if they do not want to, definitely to be done by private message.

Also, if someone only prefers to put their PAFOA name on the tag, that's fine too, but still saves everyone from asking "and who are you on the forum?" like we all do.

I just used one of those plastic holders and made my own badge in a word processor, printed it out, folded it to fit and put it in the holder. Simple, reusable and can easily be changed/customized to work for any occasion.

    Appears rally has been rescheduled.
Just received the following in a mass email from Metcalfe's office:

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    July 29, 2020

    Stand Your Ground Against Socialism:

Metcalfe Sets New Date for 2020 Right to Keep and Bear Arms Rally

HARRISBURG — Answering the people’s demands that Gov. Tom Wolf’s tyrannical abuse of emergency powers must be stopped and never imposed again, State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) officially confirmed today that this year’s Rally to Protect Your Right to Keep and Bear Arms will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 29, beginning at 11 a.m., on the front steps of the Capitol, in Harrisburg.

“It is precisely the Second Amendment and our right to keep and bear arms which provides the foundation and reinforcement of all the rights recognized and proclaimed in our state and federal constitutions,” said Metcalfe. “This especially includes, Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution which clearly states: ‘The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.’”

Identifying specific legislative priorities for this year’s rally, Metcalfe referenced his June 24 vote in support of House Bill 1747, which would repeal statutes that allow the governor to suspend or limit the sale of firearms during a disaster emergency declaration. Additionally, the bill would repeal a section of the Crimes Code that infringes upon the right to open carry during an emergency declaration. Advancing with strong bipartisan support in the House, House Bill 1747 is now awaiting Senate consideration.

“Message to Tom Wolf: Your blatant, unconstitutional misbehavior in office and callous disregard for the most fundamental civil liberties of your fellow man give this year’s theme of Stand Your Ground Against Socialism even more substantive significance,” said Metcalfe. “You have no authority to imprison any citizen in their home or otherwise rob them of their right to put food on the table. Our right to arm and defend ourselves and our loved ones is non-negotiable, and you can expect us to vigilantly defend these inherent rights on the state Capitol steps on Tuesday, Sept. 29.”

Metcalfe is also encouraging all law-abiding citizens who attend to stay alert and practice social distancing according to CDC guidelines.

Cool. This will be MUCH better now that the context has changed to an ongoing violent Marxist insurgency. I'm in.

"Social distancing" should consist of aiming in at Antifa.
