If you pull up a map it should show the parking decks. Parking is street side 50' to a few hundred feet from capitol property.
When im on locust deck im about 2 blocks away.
Its all pretty walkable for an average out of shape person. Not sure about handicapped acceas

The Chestnut Street, Walnut Street, River Street & Market Square garages are OPEN for daily parking. All other garages are closed to the public.

Also, don't even think about going into a Harrisburg parking garage unarmed, they're notorious for being the go-to place for criminals.

You will pay either way, I do not believe there is any 'free' parking in the capitol area.

I was wondeting if the parking ticket was less than the decks. Might just park where hburg police do on the yellow facing 3rd and steps.
Or we should storm the capitol..... underground parking, with our vehicles.
Been interested in finding out how large it is anyway
