Went to this show yesterday (Sat.) at noon and had a good time perusing the tables which pretty much filled the two rooms. At that time, far more tables than customers. A few observations:
1. No problem parking. Aisles were wide - no bumping into folks. You could easily roll a bowling ball down a couple of aisles and not worry about hitting anybody.
2. Ventilation was great - maybe the very first show where I couldn't smell a fart and had to scramble out of the way...
3. Lots of older collectors selling their collections (older firearms, newer stock, military patches, military gear (there was a Teller mine dummy for around $300), and just about anything you could imagine being pulled out of the closet . A saw only a few millennials there who didn't seem like they were doing a lot of buying - only saw one set of paperwork being filled out. BTW, whose gonna buy OUR collections when the time to sell comes around???
4. Heard several remarks by sellers: "These are just tire-kickers coming by," "I gotta sell this stuff because I've gotta pay medical bills", "The wife has cancer", "I have no kids who are interested in my stuff", etc.
5. IMO, more than a few tables are gonna end up at an estate auction house where relative sales prices will be determined by bidders.
6. Lots of Garands for $1,400 - $3,000, 1903s and 1903A3s for $900 - $1,300, Samauri swords, tsubas, jade, and some ivory too which I guess is the only way you can (illegally) sell it because no auction house will touch ivory as the sale of it has been banned by the gov't.
But still had a good time there. The missus bought a large cast brass plaque circa the 1920's (that sadly had been polished). It was tagged for $80, seller offered it at $60, she countered at $50 and she carried it out the door...
There was a guy who brought in a WWII Johnson and may have sold it to a collector there. Also went to the Farmer's Market across the parking lot and enjoyed walking through the endless food court...- bamboomaster

went there today, since i had to work yesterday, lots of empty tables, got in at 845, half the tables were still covered, guess everybody slept in today, so had to walk the show twice. some new vendors but mostly the same vendors with the stuff they bring to every show with slightly higher prices than last time, i have watched a few rifles like that. lots of finn mosins, the prices they were asking on those made me think about selling mine for half to 3/4 what they were asking, id make a killing and could retire early . lots more flea market crap there this time, and lots of tables with knifes, prob 30 tables easy with just knives. first show there that i didnt buy anything or even consider opening my wallet for something
bailout the working class not the freeloading class
