I worked for a British company, and had to sit through this. As others said, keep your mouth shut and endure it. Though it was against company rules, I carried concealed every day I worked there. Nobody but me knew.

The company was involved in British and US projects in mideast war zones, and the VP of my division (who spent a lot of time in Iraq and later Afghanistan) was always accompanied by a professional looking Brit, even as he moved about the office in PA. There were credible threats against the company in all of its locations.
Boy, I say boy, you're reaching the limits of my medication!

We had one of these last week. It was Run, Hide or Fight. So I got in my car and left.

Ours was done by the Regional PD. It will most likely just be the same "Ride Hide Fight" video they show at almost every "active shooter training".

You may not agree with a lot of it, but it also won't be completely useless either. Just participate and try not to look crazy. If the time comes, you'll know what to do, whether it was what the lesson said or not.
Ride hide fight huh We don't have pushmepullyous here at work so they told us to run instead. LoL don't you just love a smart ass? I got as much chance of running as I do of finding an alpaca to ride. #toofattooold

Wear a bullet proof vest, some of these events were known to go live.

While you're there, ask for a show of hands on who voted for Hillary. Those are the people you'll want to watch out for.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Undetected carry in workplace that forbids might become a great idea if the need arises exclusively for meeting that need. All the usual ripple-effects will attach which unfairly means lose-lose. There has been recognition of the survivor suits, company expulsion and possible additional suit, possible costs of defending criminal prosecution et cetera.

Here's one I haven't seen discussed- How does one gain employment again with that history?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

    Active shooter training?

Sounds like a good day to open carry and wear a “got your six” t-shirt

Tell them that you carry a firearm and are trained to repel said invaders. Actually, no, don't do that.

You may be unemployed for a bit, but it is better than being dead. If you're good at what you do, someone who gets it will eventually pick you up. It may be a smaller company. Our work ethic, accumulated knowledge and wisdom tend to mitigate rule infractions that don't end in a CF.

In making a decision to carry/not carry, I weigh the probability of something bad happening vs the risk of something bad happening. When the risk is my life or the lives of those I love, I'll invariably take the risk of quiet concealed carry every time.
