Default Is a vote for Ron Paul a vote for Obama?

I'm not saying they are the same, they are definatly not. This is purely an opinion.

But in this election there is no way Ron Paul stands a chance at winning. So taking that vote away from McCain I think can be compared to casting a vote for Obama. Now there alot of differences from Paul to McCain but shouldn't you back the canidate that is in support of similar ideas.

I'm looking at this from a different angle and this is in no way designed to say you do not have the choice to vote for who you want. IMO

yep...... it is, just like a write in vote for any candidate other than the one's who will win is a wasted vote. If you wanted to have your voice heard, it should have been LONG before this.

if you don't think so, thats fine. Hopefully, there'll still be a venue for this type of talk after your prediction wins

McCain has a chance if we give him one. Get people to get out and vote (hopefully for McCain). That is what the Obama camp is doing.

A vote for anybody but McCain is a vote for Obama. At least that's the way it will play in the election.

The only wasted vote is the vote not cast.

If you vote for McCain in an effort to vote against Obama, you are supporting the GOP party line. If you do not agree with that party line vote third party, because that vote that was 'lost' from the GOP will encourage them to modify their party line in such a way as to be able to get your vote next time.

If enough people vote for what is right, instead of the lesser of the two evils, there will be lots of motivation for the big two parties to modify their platforms in an effort to get the third party voters on their side.

I really hope that everyone that is fed up with the status quo votes third party... Maybe this election will be the one that forces the big two parties to realize that we are sick of their crap.

Bingo. Those that wish to make a statement by voting for anyone else is a statement that won't be heard this time around... the last best chance we have is on the horizon... see it clearly

Bogey1, The polls have been wrong before. Don't let the media tell you who going to win. Never give up hope for our country and the American patriot. By-the-way, is Bogey 1 a golf connotation? If that reflects you golf score, you're good.
    Take care
