Re: Walmart asking people not to open carry in store, no longer selling non hunting g
UPDATE:
As of Oct 28, 2019 there is signage asking to refrain from open carrying.
I took a pic on my way in when I noticed the new signage.
I'll post a pic when I can, but it's a small, "shared" sign with other policies - not a large, single issue sign.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I know companies that prohibit the possession and use of tobacco while on company premises. I've seen ads that say, "Only non-smokers need apply''. They even make you sign an acknowledgement.
A company I used to work for actually charged a health insurance premium for smokers. Or gave a discount for non-smokers , depending how ya looked at it. The co-pay was $250/mo higher. And yes , they tested.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Re: Walmart just caved
plenty of local gun dealers around, and they could use the business.

^^^^^^^ It does say "kindly"... I am not sure, but it is phrased as a request, not a demand.

Re: Walmart asking people not to open carry in store, no longer selling non hunting g
I haven't been to Walmart in nearly two months. I used to be a 2-3 times a week regular since there's one just up the road from work and it made a good "I need to go wander and think about a project I'm working on/stretch my legs/clear my brain out a bit" destination late at night when I was out and about.
I really wish there were more 24 hour grocery stores than Walmart, Giant Eagle, and exactly one Kuhn's in Pittsburgh. I'm a night owl.
I'm considering easing up on my "NEVER WALMART" pledge I made in September given their "Please kindly" wording implying they aren't likely to make that huge a deal out of it, they'd just rather you didn't, but I'm still stuck on the fact that they're going to be working against my rights politically.
