Default Big push for gun control Sept 4th in congress

Some real nasty stuff here... you can’t buy guns if convicted of a hate crime? What the heck is that? That would make gun ownership impossible for Trump supporters and people that don’t support socialism. 10 round limit on magazines....

It’s called “keep America safe” act....wow, right out of the book of Hitler.

Comrades, do not worry, the government will protect you. The laws are for your own good, be well.

Some people make a career of proving that they need to be controlled. Repeat DUI offenders, sexual predators, drive-by shooters, and so on.

I think our constitution and law attempts to ensure that all must be treated equally. Yet, legislators have a history of regarding and controlling on a selective basis. To make matters worse, the SCOTUS has been a questionable approach to review and sanction. Many split opinions of 5-4 illustrate that law and its application is anything but clear.

Law applying to all is not an efficient way of life. Restricting magazine capacities (for example) based on need to control 6% of the population and adversely affecting 100% is obviously not a good system. Electing officials who cannot see that is not a good system. Having to obey hired and appointed officials that were never vetted and elected is an additional wrong approach.

Laws for our own good that selectively affect a select group is counter to the intent of the founders, and is unfair to the remaining. The concept of a hate crime being more serious is a statement that the uncovered victim is worth less. A white slugging a "minority" over the head is becoming an inferred act of hate resulting in additional penalty, while my wife getting slugged over the head is a less serious situation. Preposterous! It could be said that leaving her out is in and of itself a form of hate.

After missing countless opportunities to vote or vote for the right people politicians no longer have any fear of gun owners. They are going to show you what it's like to have real gun grabs and real gun laws that ban the private ownership of guns. Gun owners have done this to themselves.

Disagree. I have reply letters from officials I've written telling me what THEY think is needed, with not a fucking word about REPRESENTING their constituent's wishes.

This is far too broad, M'am. Most politicians for decades have considered gun owners a pain in their asses. They would just as soon the whole issue "went away". That's what I've been hearing since the 1980s.

The Bloomberg human sock puppets are pushing Mike's agendas. He's hired a whole passel of people to troll the internet, to "organize" and to create a false "firestorm of controversy"

These people do not reliably vote. They just run around in red shirts screaming at people.

When did you ever get a reply from a politician that told you what they wanted?

At best they parrot some party line or another.
