Let's get serious here.
They Are Coming for Your Shit.
Get real.
Keep that in mind.
Do what you Have to do.
Keep your mouth shut.

Re: House Pushing Red Flag Bills Through Committee Next Week
Someone explain, What possible benefit would come from a NATIONAL red flag law? Is there a federal court that will hear the complaint and issue an order for the FBI to serve a warrant and collect one's guns? How when NO federal laws are likely to broken? Nearly every state has a law similar to PA's Section 302 which may be used to force one into an involuntary period for psychiatric evaluation, though eval. period and outcome if found to be or not to be a threat or psychotic vary from state to state, yet few seem to willing to use it, witness Holmes, Loughner and Cruz.

Re: House Pushing Red Flag Bills Through Committee Next Week
You sort of answered your own question. In an ideal world, a federal red flag law would set a minimum standard to apply so that law enforcement has an objective guide to follow.
Therein lies the problem right now with the concept.
-An acceptable red flag law would need to apply judicial "due process" that would survive review and appeals all the way to scotus.
-Police and the DA would have to be willing to follow a set administrative process to apply it as well.

Thank you. Most of these shooters were not caught up in 302/Baker Act whatever.
Cruz, the puke who shot up the Parkland High School, was requested to be Bakered. Never went through.
Red Flag on a Federal level is mental masturbation. At most Congress can pull the Reagan/MADD routine and blackmail States into passing such a law. They could entice with funding.
The day that Federal Law is enforced in local Courts will be the start of very interesting times.
