Default Has anyone used cashmyguns.com to sell their firearm?

    Hello.
Came across this website cashmyguns.com for purchasing firearms.
    Has anyone used them before?
Do they offer fair value for your frearms?
    They make it look easy.
Just send them pictures and they make an offer.
If you accept they guide you packing the firearm and pay for shiping.
After they receive the firearm they mail out a check right away.
    Your thoughts.

Never heard of them but no one is going to offer even close to fair market value for your gun if they have to resell it, unless their goal is to go out of business.

When selling any item, the less effort you're willing to put into it, the less money you're going to make. It's just that simple. You want to walk into a shop with your gun and walk out with cash, you'll be lucky to get 1/2 of what it's worth retail. On the other hand, if you're willing to take good pictures, write good descriptions, answer questions, deal with setting up a transfer or shipping, etc., you'll make much more on the deal. There's no free lunch and no magic bullet (or web site).

That said, it looks like this site asks for a couple pictures and then makes an offer. That's the easy way out, and I would expect that you won't be happy with their offer.

I'm sensing a disruption in the force of the gun trading world.

First I heard of them. Send them a picture and see what they offer? No requirement to sell, correct? They are in Reno NV apparently so check the BBB there.

My first suspicion was that this was a Bloomberg financed gun removal from circulation type scheme, but that may just be me. They say they resell them to collectors, so it might be interesting to inquire as a collector what they have for sale at present.

It could also be Cruzans newest plan...

Went to their site for a look. Clicked on rifles, single shot, Ruger #1. They'll pay up to $350.

Here's their You Tube Video. I thought selling firearms on the internet was illegal? I try to buy all my firearms using a gun show loop hole it seems pretty risky buying and selling on the internet. What if you get and unsafe gun that has committed gun violence shipped to your house, then what?

Any entity that creates a video of that quality is surely legitimate, lol. But they likely are. Maybe just an FFL looking for some inventory.

Looks like they're preying on widows, divorcees, and surviving children.

Finally a way a greedy, dishonest, and all around shit FFL to rip off people without even leaving his house. Sounds perfect for the OP

In the video they say you send them the gun, then they send you the money. Gee, I wonder what the chances are that they'll say "this isn't in the condition you said it was, we can only pay you half. If you don't want to take it it will be $69.95 to send the gun to an FFL for you to pick up.
