Yeah , but like I said , it cost me $500. That ADA , now Judge was a real dick. Said he wasn't returning it and ''why don't you just make another one. It would be cheaper.'' with a real shit-eating grin. Got a phone call a week or so later to pick it up.

Probably 35 years ago I had a 16ga single shot shotgun. It was old enough to have no ser.no. , I cut the barrel down to 16 1/2in and OAL to 26 1/2in. A cop confiscated it and the ADA , now Judge Steven O'Neill tried to charge me with making a sawed-off shotgun , and removing the serial numbers. Letters from BATF stating it was perfectly legal didn't really seem to phase him. County detective said they were keeping it per ADA's orders. Cost me $500 to get a lawyer who cleared it up with a simple phone call.

I think you may be misremembering
You can buy firearms similar to the one mentioned by Abner. Here's one with a 12 inch barrel and 28.5 inch OAL.

Not a SBS, transfers like a pistol, neither was the one described above my post.

What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms!

That's my point in a roundabout way. I'm surprised the media didn't focus more on the mechanicals involved. The short barrel being the main point. I didn't realize it WAS a pistol. AR based pistols or subgun-size weapons simply don't interest me. Even though I own an -A2 style rifle and M4gery , I'm really not much of fan of Mr. Potatohead as I call it.

I'm surprised they (media & politicians) haven't gone into how ya can build anything on a receiver. Not sure if the sheer volume/variety of AR parts , accessories and configurations would educate or scare non-gun types.

The BIG question is, are the headsets from both shooters the same brand?

They love using the words high velocity rounds. If they want slower bullets, they would want shorter barrels...

If I build a 45-70 AR will that calm the libs down? Low velocity round with little power to kill anything.....

Legally it might be defined as a 'brace' , but if ya can put it against yer shoulder to steady it when firing , for all practical purposes , it's technically a butt stock.

On my M4gery with 16in barrel , the collapsible Magpul stock is quite comfortable and super quick to shoulder while fully collapsed.
Then you can't own a brace because you redesigned it into a stock as per batf. You want to take wheelchairs away next?
