A CANDLE
I received this in an e-mail this evening. It hits close to home because I lost my mom to lung cancer and a cousin to breast cancer. I know we have a few members who have waged their own battles with cancer or know someone who is, so I pass this on to you. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
This is sent in memory of those we have known and loved
who have battled cancer;
for those who have won
and those who have lost the fight.
It is sent in prayerful support
for each person
who is presently in the midst
of his or her own trial,
and in support for all who care for them.
Each time we add our thoughts and prayers
for those who have or are suffering
the candles burn brighter.
Each time we pass the candles on
they burn more brightly still.
May God bless them, every one!

Re: A CANDLE
Very nice. Thank you for sharing that.
You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.
