The City of Pittsburgh can pass laws that are against state preemption laws I don't see why this school district or any other entity can pass laws contrary to state laws. The Dem's at it again or as always.

So, how did this get through so quickly without ACSL, GOA, NRA getting out any word?

I find that more disconcerting that the actual Act.

I think this one can be filed under don’t believe every word that appears in the papers.

While the bill doesn’t explicitly authorize on duty teachers to carry firearms at school, it doesn’t prohibit it either. It appears this bill preserves the status quo regarding teachers and others carrying firearms at school. Though, it does explicitly authorize public schools, subject to certain conditions, to hire or contract for armed security. I’d say this bill ranges from being neutral to modestly Pro-2A.

Yes. It is sad and frustrating that this (quietly?) passed in both the house and the senate.

Teachers unions were all against the passage and weighed in heavily with contacts and money to their mouthpieces.

The single most effective measure a school can use to stop, and/or minimize mass shooting is taken off the table because "Guns are BAD!". Nobody is forcing teachers, or anyone to carry. Voluntary, and trained teachers that CC would be an effective way to stop this crap, but they DON"T WANT to stop it. They want it perpetuated as another means to remove legally owned guns from law abiding citizens.

I care because they’re still using kids as propaganda items to remove firearms from society. Eventually one more school shooting will cause them to grab guns and then war begins.
