Re: Carrying in the workplace
School districts are government agencies or subdivisions of the department of education. Untimely every person is an employee of the state, an example of this is the PEMA act of 1974 which compels teachers to staff schools during states if emergency & KEEP ORDER if those schools are used as shelters.
The language here is almost identical to how classes of townships, boroughs, cities are defined.
Section 202 defines them as bodies corporate, however as they have the power to levy taxes, are elected by vote during regularly governmental elections no different then a township supervisor, and are vested in the State Retirement program.

Re: Carrying in the workplace
I used to work where I couldn’t carry a gun but knew some coworkers who still did.

Re: Carrying in the workplace
Tried to copy my employers long-winded weapons policy , but there was all sorts of 'internal use only' and legal threats and disclaimers. Guess corporate lawyers get paid by the word.
One thing it did mention several times was that it made no difference if you had a state-issued license to carry a firearm.Last edited by abner13; August 3rd, 2019 at 04:45 PM.

Re: Carrying in the workplace
My former employer had a No Weapons Policy. I carried off and on through the years. I was present when a friend of mine had a knife pulled on him and thought it prudent to arm myself for a spell until things got sorted. Another was when it was revealed one of my co-workers had a hit list and I was one of the names on it. I was asked to watch a guy's back for a few days, one of his buddies told him he was going to kill him.
The last five years before my retirement I carried daily. I was prepared to tell anyone that asked about the bulge was that it was an insulin pump.
