Does that 870 have a rotating safety? I've never seen one like that if it does. Intersting.

I believe that what you're seeing medic is the "J-lock"/"security system". It's a feature on some of the newer 870's where you can lock the trigger so that it can't be moved/fired because it's locked on safety. It has a special little key that fits in there to rotate it.
