Question about guns.

I have a brake down single barrel 12 gauge shot gun, with a shiney barrel inside, and my son has a 12 gauge pump shot gun with a choke tube. The question is, can we use either gun to shoot slugs for hunting deer? If yes, what kind of choke tube should my son use and is the barrels on both guns alright to use?

If you could supply more information on the make/model of the shotguns, and also read the side of the barrel as in many cases it will indicate not to use slugs on it sometimes... also if you still have the owners manual that came with your shotguns, it should dictate in there whether or not you can use slugs/what choke to use... but in all cases you should be able to contact the manufacturer or let us know make/model so we may further assist you.

odds are your gonna wanna take the choke off, you want a cylinder bore barrel, or cylinder bore choke. this means no compression at the end of the barrel. but like rlss30 said, check the manuals and manufacturers info. im not sure what the shiny barrel inside has to do with anything though...

I Wouldn't shoot slugs out of a barrle that has chokes,The chokes are for bird and buck shot.
