    Thumbs down Luger, forget it

I bought one about 15 years ago, put 25 rounds through it just to make sure it worked, then put it away without cleaning it. (I know I should've done it then) I watched several videos on YouTube several times. Getting it apart was easy, as far as putting it together, well that's a different story. Hell will freeze over before I do that again. I'm glad the government chose the 1911 over the Luger. Thanks for letting me vent. Joe

They are easy to field strip, and reassemble. What gave you trouble?

There is a trick when you remove or take off the sideplate. You push the barrel back about 1/4 inch on a piece of wood (preferably padded).

Or something like that........I used to be able to field strip a Luger in 30 seconds. But that was years ago. Now I will probably be watching Youtube videos too.
