Is a 1955 Colt police positive , 5 inch bbl, in near mint condition, Mint grips, Worth $400 ?
Please give me your opinion, i know nothing about Colts.

Re: Colt revolver lovers ,need your opinion
Without pics, I would say an uneducated guess would be 'yes'. I'm not a Colt guy, although I have nothing against Colt, just prefer S&W's. The near perfect described condition would warrant the price tag, IMO.

Yes its near new condition, even the original Colt grips, it only shows a little wear at the Muzzle like it were being Holstered a lot, The Bluing is perfect otherwise, the lock up is nice and tight no rattles and roll, whoever owned it , took reaally really good care of it .

hell yes.
run, don't walk.
though without seeing it, and the claim it was PSP, i'd have to think it might have been refinished at some point.it's only metal, we can out think it....

The Blue Book of Gun Values shows that it would be a Colt Police Positive Special (Third Issue) made from 1947-1976. In the condition you describe it makes it a 95-98% gun worth from $350-$450 so $400 would be a fair price.

Don't think that I ever bought a Colt that did not increase in value if kept a while. Sounds like a price with enough room to keep your money together. If my other investments had done as good as guns my feet would never again walk in snow.
