    Default Loaner guns

I have acquired a few guns in my travels.

I have loaned out a couple of pistols to my daughter's in law. (Both have LTCFs.)

We shot an assortment and they selected the ones they felt best. about carrying.

I think having enough shooting devices and a surplus is a good idea. I've gotta variety so the new shooter training sessions are flexible and broad based.

    What about yinz?

My selection isn't as broad as I'd like, but I am able to 'show & tell' the differences between revolver/semi-auto, pocket gun/standard-sized, and a variety of calibers to first timers. I think it's enough to at least get them thinking which direction might best suit their needs.

I usually do this during a range trip, so live fire can happen if desired. Actually 'loaning' them out is less frequent, and would likely be in a situation similar to yours, as opposed to the random party who is a newcomer to firearms in general.

I don't really have "everything", but when a coworker learned I shoot, and asked what kind of guns I have, my reply was "Everything."
    LOL

When I took my first non-shooter to the range, I was also able to take half a dozen different handguns for her to try, which was nice to be able to do.

I used to think that if there were civil unrest, that I could "loan" a few guns to my neighbors who are not gun owners, but over time, my views have changed, and if they don't have any interest in protecting themselves now, "Well... good luck to ya'!"

I’ve was jokingly asked if I’m the head of some militia group by a younger acquaintance after seeing my collection. Nope, just prepared.

I’ve loaned guns to siblings, and like tools, as long as they make it back (eventually) I don’t mind loaning them to family or good friends at the range.

That is great. I have had the experience of doing the same and then the guy tried to work me up about his voting for Hillary. Now they can eat my brown eye corn nuggets.
