We used to have two 1911's. Both Taurus PT1911's. Ran pretty well for a few months. Then mine had an epic failure. The "TAURUS SECURITY SYSTEM" engaged itself and could not be disengaged by the key. It was sent back to Taurus, and returned to me exactly one month later, only to be sold that week. Cole sold his shortly after. I will never ever buy another firearm that has a "safety" that can't be worked by my thumb. I had carried that pistol that day. Might as well carried a brick in my jacket.
