I don’t believe the law has taken effect yet.

Just looked it up and you are correct. It goes into effect next month. I my defense I was talking with Sheriff Sloop and he said they were overwhelmed...

He was accused of threatening to kill her a few years ago; if he had been successfully prosecuted for death threats against a former wife, he'd be a prohibited person and couldn't buy or own a gun.

The DA said that a PFA wouldn't stop anyone from getting a gun "legally or illegally", which is crap; a PFA means you're not a legal gun buyer or a legal gun owner while it's in effect.

Another reason to ask to see a current LTCF before making private sales of long guns.

The key point in this story is that a handgun would have been the more effective tool for this guy, if he was determined to murder an unarmed woman in a public place. Easier to conceal, just as lethal. So banning AR-15's and their clones would save ZERO lives, and might cost lives, as homeowners are deprived of a tool that has been used multiple times to stop violent home invaders.

Guns are used by the law-abiding in self-defense MILLIONS of times per year in America, mostly without anyone dying. They are used THOUSANDS of times by murderers. So if we ban guns, we save thousands from being shot (they'll be stabbed instead) but kill millions who are now helpless, a trade-off which only makes sense to the math-deficient like Bernie Sanders and AOC.

Maybe it's nearing time to have spears secreted strategically in homes.

    BTW...6pm news said Armalite AR15 .
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

LOL! I was watching our local news yesterday and there was some sort of standoff situation.

Reporter: "Lots of police here with long-weapons pointed at the house..."

The dumb stuff they say... wow.

Next to last piece I heard on KYW news radio was an assault rifle.

Last piece I heard on KYW news radio said he used a high powered rifle.

Well, which is it? Did he use an Armalite 15, an assault rifle, or a high powered rifle?

I can't believe AR-15 would do this, after all we have done to defend it.

    OK. What's the point here?

One person out of millions who own these firearms may have used one to commit murder.

    This is newsworthy? Why?

The Corporate owned media really wants to disarm us, don't they?
