Re: GunBroker... is there a better alternative?
Armslist is a haven for scammers.
GB's biggest defect has been that they allowed idiots to repost the same overpriced crap for years, literally YEARS. Without additional fees for reposting, there's little incentive to put up reasonable prices, which is why used stuff is posted with new prices, PLUS shipping.
You can only push the theory that "I just need one sucker to buy at this price" before you taint the site with thousands of useless ads. I used to browse GB until it became obvious that it was the same stuff over and over again. Plus, their search engine needs serious work to be of any use.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: GunBroker... is there a better alternative?
I find some of the best buys I have ever made on GB. There are a lot of overpriced guns, yet there are so many looking to sell theirs at a lower price if only they can get people to bid on them. If I find something I want, I will send the seller a message asking if he will entertain offers. Most of the time they say no. After relisting that gun over and over again, I have had some come back to me and ask if the offer is still good. Negotiating time...
If you look long enough...there are some great buys.

Re: GunBroker... is there a better alternative?
I'm getting to the point of seriously looking into what it would take to have a sight like GB with all the problems fixed or at least as much as possible. It seems lately they have made a lot of changes and none of them have made it easier to use, just more complicated for a caveman like me.

Gun buy backs. Apparently some people think this is working for them and the greater good.
Other than that I suggest Armslist, I've bought and sold without a hitch. When the SHTF......be the fan.

Re: GunBroker... is there a better alternative?
Guns.com is another new venue which has jumped into the gun auction arena. Personally I don't like the format or the limited selection, not to mention the high prices. I would be surprised if they managed to stay in business.
Maybe we should brainstorm some ideas...see what comes of it.
