Interesting shooting
It’s early and I am sure more info will come out. Sounds like a woman was being assaulted by her boyfriend, the woman’s sister called the cops twice and the father once. The police considered it low priority, and the sister wound up shooting the boyfriend. If it stands it lends credence to the saying that the cops can’t always be there and in the end defending ourselves is up to us.

9-1-1 says victim did not call as domestic violence escalates into deadly shooting
Ann Pierret
FLINT (WJRT) (2/28/2019) - Dispatch: "Flint City for domestic trouble. 900 West Moore."
Around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday night, that was dispatch's radio in response to the call from a pregnant woman's sister saying she was being assaulted by her boyfriend.
Over the airwaves, there was no confirmation anyone is responding to the home. Genesee County 9-1-1 said Flint Police were tied up on calls and had several others pending at the time, ones that were equally important.
But, we learned later from the recording.
Dispatch: "Just be advised, the original caller was the female's sister. It was secondhand information she was being assaulted by the boyfriend Mark. We got a call from her again stating the same; and then, father called in, reporting the same."
So after countless calls, why the delay? Dispatch explained because they never heard from someone inside the home, it was a low priority. And, they said, on calls like that, it's not unusual they'd have to wait for police to respond.
Dispatch: "Shooting. 902 West Moore."
That's when officers got in gear and head to the scene, nearly 45 minutes later.
Dispatch: "Original call was a domestic. Multiple calls, female stating she was being held hostage by her boyfriend. We just got a call from a female said her boyfriend's been shot."
It appears the family took the fight into their own hands. Michigan State Police said the sister, who made that first call to 9-1-1, went inside the home and shot and killed her pregnant sister's boyfriend.
Officer: "There's a person inside shot. I've got one detained she said that she killed this guy."
Lt. Duane Zook, with Michigan State Police, said while they have 11 officers working inside the Flint Police Department, their tasks are specific to the Major Crimes Unit. So they don't show up until, "... armed robberies, homicides, non fatal shootings, stabbings, is what our Troopers are going to respond to in the City of Flint."
The 24-year-old woman is now in custody as police investigate if she was acting in self defense when she shot and killed 25-year-old Mark Covington.
The Flint Police Department has not returned my request for comment.

Re: Interesting shooting
I wish the useless reporter would STFU so you could hear the 911 call. It's the same with most videos they play, too much useless reporting and little or no information to what was really was going on. The news people just can't help themselves, they are narcissists that just want to hear themselves talk.
