Re: Aren't we supposed to receive notice before LTCF Expires?
Wasn't there someone on the forums awhile back that was told by a sheriff's department that they dont send out the notices anymore due to financial difficulties? I seem to remember the poster brought up something about the law saying a certain part of the license fee is supposed to cover this.

Remind me again why we need to ask (and pay for) permission from our state to carry a firearm, and why we don’t just go to constitutional carry?

Re: Aren't we supposed to receive notice before LTCF Expires?
I just received a notice and a new application from Westmoreland County. Mine expires the last day of the month after my January DOB. I dunno if DOB has to do with it....or maybe when I first applied way back when.

Re: Aren't we supposed to receive notice before LTCF Expires?
There was a lawsuit a while back around here when the Sheriff sent postcards advising that a LTCF was due for renewal. They must be sent in an envelope to conceal the fact that the person is a LTCF holder.
I don't recall the exact statute though.My Feedback - http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.ph...ight=stainless

Re: Aren't we supposed to receive notice before LTCF Expires?
Just got my renewal notice Tuesday, from Montco - my license expires in April. Emailed the application in yesterday and got an email back the same day saying I can come in after 10 working days to pick it up.

Back in... 2017? I received my renewal notice from the Susquehanna County Sheriff... but they wouldn't let me past the metal detector when I went in to renew because of my non-resident status.
I guess the government following half the law is better than I'm used to here in PRNY
