Mr. Brown fails to recognize that, as a heterogeneous society, there is consistently one group of individuals responsible for the majority of firearms crime and pursuant fatalities in The United States.

The relatively homogeneous societies of Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Japan, when called upon to illustrate low firearms fatalities, are never mentioned as being pertinent.

In other words:

Typical liberal rationale: blame the gun for crime, but don't EVER blame the criminal.
