Scope help
Hi guys, I have a BSA Classic SW4X32CP Walmart scope on my Stephens Model 62 22LR rifle. I just noticed today that my scope has moisture on the inside of the rear lens. Is my scope ruined or will that go away? It was exposed to a rain storm once. I was out in my backyard shooting and had to take a phone call. Wasn't expecting the rain that day, it was a freak storm. Supposed to be sunny and warm all day, but anyway, what can I do? Or is it time for another scope?
Thanks, JimIf zombies start chasing us, I'm going to trip you!

Re: Scope help
Scope is toast. Moisture either entered with the rain water or the differences in temperature caused the water vapor inside the scope to condense. Not worth fixing.

Re: Scope help
Hey thanks for the reply, I figured as much, just wasn't sure.
By the way I noticed the screen name and your avatar pic, I served on the USS GW and they were part of the airwing that deployed with us on my first cruise. Just wondering when you were with them? This was back in January of 96, for the Med deployment. Well anyway, take care and thanks for the info.

I retired in 1989. I never deployed on the Washington.

Re: Scope help
I know, but I was on a tight budget then and just wanted a scope to throw on there.
BTW, I was shooting the other day and noticed that the scope is even worse, I can barely see through it at all, very dark and cloudy, I guess that's what I get for trying to stay cheap.
