Point Park University's Firearms Club
Hello to everyone on this forum!
I'm here to spread the great news!
Point Park Firearms Club is now a true, recognized club of Point Park University as of Friday, September26, 2008.
"Point Park University Firearms Club strives to provide students with a safe and fun environment where we can celebrate the freedoms of the 2nd Amendment. We will provide students with the opportunity to shoot firearms, instruct students in the safe handling of firearms and ammunition, invite students to obtain firearms and concealed weapon permits, and educate students in ballistics, self-defense, reloading techniques, and other matters important to firearm use and ownership."
I have just joined the firearms club and now registered on this site as a way to brush up on the gun laws that apply to me. Its become obvious to me that I don't know all that I should about my firearms and could benifit from my involvement posting/searching here as well as being part of the new club.

I haven't gone with them yet, so I'm not sure which range they use. But here is a video that the firearms club staff put together.

As you can see they are getting some good participation from 1st time shooters.
Thanks for the welcome, 27hand.

Welcome to PAFOA... (aka POOFA)
It's great to see organizations being started for students to get them involved with firearms and teaching safe operation/handling.
You'll find a wealth of info on the pages of this site. Some useful, some not, hahaha. Kidding aside, there's a great bunch here who are knowledgable and willing to answer questions. Never underestimate the power of the SEARCH function, then when in doubt ask.
Make it out to group shoots and dinners. It's a blast"Unus ut caput capitis"

Re: Point Park University's Firearms Club
Thanks again for the welcome,
Our next meeting is Friday Dec 5th, 5pm at Conestoga Hall. I will get some more info on how the club is doing. I want to remind any Pointpark students or alumni that they are welcome to attend. In order to get intelligent answers you must speak intelligently.
