I'm not understanding how that bolt doesn't block the line of sight for the iron sights.

I've looked and looked on YouTube and at online gun articles, but there's not much I could find that shows how that all works.

I have found a few picitinny rail mounts, but that seems counterproductive and puts the optic even higher up on the carry handle.




From what I understand with THOSE, there's a "channel" that passes through the carry handle. and the "screw/bolt" is recessed, so you can still see through to use the iron sights.

That's what I had on my Colt with an Eotech attached. It wasn't bad, but I took it off and put a Romeo5 on instead.

Now I understand. You remove just the lower portion of the PA mount (the part that clamps onto the picitinny rail) and the optional bolt goes into that "wedge" portion of the mount which has the pass thru - the bolt head is recessed within THAT.

I was thinking you had to remove ALL the mount and the bolt went up into the bottom of the optic somehow.

Thanks. I can be difficult - I can't just accept that something works - I need to understand HOW it works.

The bolt is short enough it doesnt poke into the channel
