Rt 93 State Game Range Status

I was just hiking up there and took some pictures of what's going on. Work is getting done.

Thanks for the update Bud. I was up there a few weeks ago and was planning on heading up tomorrow to see if anything has changed. Now I don't have to waste the gas again in hopes to sight in the rifle. I hope they can finish the range this year yet.

I live about 5 mins from there, I have been making regular trips there to see when it opens. If you guys don't want to take the trip I will keep you posted.

Hey. Pretty good. Yeah I hike up on Broad Mtn quite a bit. I hadn't been up there in a while though so that was the first time in a couple of months I got a chance to see what was going on with the range.

From what I hear from The State Game Commission is that no range will be open until they are all completed, meaning that they don't want a mad rush to any one range. With that being said, even if Range 143 on SR - 93 on the Broad were done, it will not be opened until all the other SGL ranges are complete. I know, it's BS, but it does make sense! How'd you like if every one came at once to the broad to shoot from other areas away? It would suck, you'd have to sell tickets to get in! Take Care! Be Safe!

well, what you heard is wrong because someone posted that the SGL #127 ranhe is already open.

I just took a trip up today and they have been doing some good work on the range lately. This week they did a bunch of concrete work which is going to make this range great once its done. It also looks like they might be blacktopping a trail all the way down to the rifle range. Hopefully they will complete it soon.
